Meyenheim challenge
Your challenge is to design a track on this plot of land in Switzerland. The perimeter of the plot is just over 3.5 miles. There is no elevation change. There are no restrictions on formulae. It was discovered at random through clicking in Google Earth.

LibertyBell: I was wondering why I couldn't find the location on Google Earth, it seem that you wondered North a bit. Meyenheim is actually in France not Switzerland
xl8r: any ideas as to how long that would be? Edit: Having seen that plot of land on google Earth, it is huge and could easily swallow a 6 or 7 km (4+ mile) circuit. Last edited by ScotsBrutesFan; 12 Jan 2009 at 23:53. |

Is the alotted space really big enough to put a large (3-4 miles long) track in?
Worth a bash this one. |

To Answer my own question of xl8r and to answer TW about the space for such a big track, I've roughed out xl8r's track on google earth. The Full circuit is approximately 6.5km.

xlr8r, your track makes me think of a combination of Le Castellet and Oschersleben. The only edit I would make is change the very fast Esses at the end of your backstraight to create another overtaking spot, something like the Les Combes section at Spa Francorchamps.

Yeah I decided to put fast esses at the end of two of the straights to make the track a challenge. There already are enough overtaking spots.

I personally hate that chicane right before the last corner. Get rid of that, and make the final corner a round one.

Actually, chicanes like that would cause even more pileups.
