Easter at Loton Park

Superb week-end at Loton Park. Glorious weather, great racing, brilliant to catch up with so many familiar faces. Lots of highlights include:

Wins with records each to Martin Groves and Scott Moran. Battle renewed, honours even.
Jos Goodyear going from ploughing machine (30 seconds after I was explaining that the thing to be aware of at post 7 was that the car was already having its accident when it comes into view, perfectly demonstrated by the Pilbeam) to 4th and 3rd places.
The return of Adam Fleetwood in a 2ltr Firehawk qualifying well fro both run-offs, sadly not backed up by the placings deserved after a couple of problems/errors.
Will Hall and Eynon Price also qualifying well.
Tom New looking like a kiddy in the sweetshop sharing with Chris Merrick, but Chris shading him in times.
Shireen getting a photo of the Clerks car ("The intelligent Stop/Start Land Rover") with the door open resulting in the logo "Clerk of the Course. TART". Class.
Someone's hangover only barely hidden by make-up.
Both the emergency shouts being at Post 4 (why?) happily without injury or significant damage.

All in all, a great start to the championship.

Indeed a fab weekend, and just about THE best hillclimb conditions for everyone. A zillion marshals there from my drivers seat so thanks to you all.
The reduced field gave the meeting a great buzz I think, and the Orange Boys n Girls got a real hour's break! You were spoiled by the Tart.

Those bike engined cars are getting a bit embarrassing for some I think?

For me the best was the sight and sound of the 2 Audi SWB leaving Museum to the finish, talk about ballistic.

See you all at Prescott soon.

Fabulous weekend, glorious sunshine which leave sme slightly red faced today... actually more brown but hey ho.
Fab Sunday Morning marshalling, thanks for keeping me busy guys and gals... although I would prefer lighter cars to push uphill next time hehe.
Brilliant afternoon spent with the one with the hangover and the ever hospitable WAGS.

It did seem like a good weekend, I was going to come on the bank, I like doing both, I think we all do, but there is rarly an abundance of rescue crew, so alass most times you have to go on the unit to cover. You get to work and flirt with other marshalls on the bank........... also yes you can also work on your tan..... but I am all banadged up for another two weeks but I will be in orange at prescott, even though it makes my bum look bigger than in blue.........And no comments you lot please.
