Lotus Sport TV coverage Tuesday Morning

G'day to you all!

Just letting you all know that the Lotus race from Donington Park will be shown on Tuesday 10th July at 02:45am on "Chequered Flag" on Channel 4.
Best thing is to set your vids (those that struggle in that department will have to get up to press record :-)on the Monday night as it's a late/early showing.

I taped it but the video decided to cut out every 2 seconds of play so I get a bit then it goes to static and then back again!!

Good job Rachel recorded it!

I need to put my races onto CD ROM to hand out to sponsors etc. I've been looking into it a bit and the favoured format for top quality is MPEG-2. Does anybody out there have facilities to convert video into MPEG-2 format and then burn onto CD?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

funny you should say that. at work we just bought this card thing that you stick in the computer, load up a program, and you can import videos straight from the camera, edit them, and then save them as mpeg/realvideo films. the quality is good, although they take up a lot of space on the disc (if you need really good quality, then the files are about 40mb for a minute. biiig hard disc needed. i'm running 20gb, and 128mb ram). not sure how it works to a vcr player, but i'm sure it does...

i don't have a cd-rw in this computer at the moment, but i might try convince the boss it's a good idea for giving to the customers...
