Bathurst...street view...

Just done a lap of Bathurst on Google street view and it was very interesting.[well it was to me]

This might interest our overseas brothers as well.

So I thought I would throw this open for an off season time killer to discuss any points of interest you might see and take any interesting screen shots and post them.

[You get followed by a white Commodore at one point]

And if you think this is of interest then check any of the other street circuits on street view.

Over to you...

Google Street View Here...

Seems the photos are not really recent. Skyline still has the gravel trap, not the reprofiled tarmac.

The street view pics in SA were taken At least one year ago (and no longer than 18 months before that), i can tell cause my car is parked at work in the same spot (and i was only at that job 18 months )

I'd imagine that would have been in place for a hillclimb, which runs the opposite direction up the hill.

It actually catches quite a few running in race direction after they bounce off the opposite wall.

It also caught the @%#$%%% in a VL commodore who hit me head on when he was showing his mates how fast he could do the hillclimb, on a saturday afternoon

The pics around Bathurst were taken around 20th January. We worked it out from some of the cars parked in our street.

That doesn't sound too good at all. The only good thing I could think about that is that he probably wasn't going that quick. I've done that climb as part of a rally stage before, and I remember going up there, with the navigator and me chatting about the beautiful sunset.
