AAR/Gainsco dream
Just a thought... with the new formula and chassis in 2012 how hard would it be for Gainsco to move up to Indycar.
Bring Gurney back into the fold with a Eagle/Dallara and get Ilmor or Cosworth to build a motor for GM. Have Gurney and Fogarty as drivers.... would be nice. any thoughts..... |

Cute idea, not even the slightest chance of happening. Dan Gurney has expressed disinterest, and the other parties (Bob Stallings Racing, GAINSCO, Alex Gurney, Jon Fogarty, and General Motors) have said absolutely nothing about the IRL; it's not an option for any of them.

And If I had $20M to bankroll that plan, my team would be in the pit box right behind them.

Gainsco, on the other hand, would turn it into $60M by investing it instead of burning it. |
