1987 WTCC Rd1 Monza - Texaco Sierra pics
I was wondering if anyone had any pictures of the Eggenberger Sierra's from the Monza WTCC round, i recall they ran a slightly different livery that weekend compared to the rest of the year.
There is apparently a pic in the book "50 years of Ford in motor racing", but i can't find a copy of the book Any help will be appreciated guys |

Not sure if this is relevant but I do recall the cars running traditional blue oval Ford stickers on the rear wings at the beginning of 1987, but by 1988 they were sporting stickers of the same shape but with dayglo orange lettering over black to match the rest of the main livery?

And remember the cars didn't race at all in Monza since their Motronic system wasn't legal according to the Italian officials. So you'll have to find pictures from practice.

The picture in the book is from practice apparently.... amongst other changes the car numbers for example are apparently near the rear wheels, rather than the front....
The exact name of the book is "Ford in Touring Car racing - Top of the class for 50 years" |

I have a race report from the Monza race from German magazine Auto Motor und Sport, that has a similar picture of Tim's above, sains drivers, but in the same studio(?) settings. Since the cars was rejected at scrutineering on Thursday or Friday, few pictures were probably taken - but would be so much more interesting!
OT (slightly). Was there any pictures of the Eggenberger RS Cosworths testing pre-season published or any other Sierras for that matter? BMW had a group A prototype M3 running by late summer 1986 and shown in magazines. Jesper |

I got the exactly same photo as Jesper's in my MN edition.
Also I got the Monza race report in my MN edition and it got no photos of the car at all. |
