2011 - Northwest 200 Road Races

As the Raceweek Festival is already underway and the first practice starts tomorrow I thought I'd open a thread on it.
A detailed schedule can be found at Raceweek Festival Schedule
As far as I understood the BBC will stream all sessions live again on their website, showing a documentary on the NW200 on Friday and showing some races live behind the red button. I'll be posting any streaming links as soon as I will find them

BBC enhanced coverage announcement at http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/motorsport/9412338.stm

Roads close 5pm this afternoon, so sessions start from 5:30-6:00 pm. I really hope the BBC has the Live streaming running by then

Best Wishes For A Speedy Recovery Go Out To Stuart Easton

I couldn't keep up with the sessions yesterday due to other commitments unfortunately and learned only now that Stuart Easton has had a massive accident which involved Gary Mason as well. Stuart has been brought to Royal Victoria Hospital and is reported with a broken pelvis as well as several broken fingers. http://www.northwest200.org/news_art...rt-easton.aspx

However, races commence from 11 am bst / noon CET and are broadcasted behind the red button (the first two only) and from the bbc ni bikes website

This is one of ther reasons why I have a bad thing about road racing.

Yes the guys know exactly what the risks are, but so many of them are injured or killed it just makes me very sad.

Stuart was having a great start to the year and I hope he gets better, poor Gary too, must feel truly awful

Especially as a teammate involved it must be very awful.
Speaking for Stu he wasnt a nobody at the roads with his tremendous 3 in a row at the streets of macau gp anyway. A guy who exactly knew what he was doing. I really hope he can be back quick especially since he has had pretty good bsb results so far
