Kart marshalling at 3 Sisters - THIS WEEKEND

This weekend (23rd and 24th) is the next round of the Manchester and Buxton Kart Club (MBKC) championships at 3 Sisters, Wigan. We are always looking for new marshals who have ANY level of experience. If you would like to come down this weekend then please contact me. You don't need to officially volunteer or have tickets.

It's fast, exciting and close racing throughout the day. It's mostly junior categories, so a quiet, boring day is never an option! Don't worry about the parents - this is a friendly, well supported club!

If you think you can make it or would like to know more, reply to this thread, send me a PM, or contact me on 07580 504411.

Cheers,
Mark

Advisable though I would have thought for insurance purposes?

Unfortunately I am not available as I would have loved to give this a go for the first time.

I say 'don't officially', once you turn up for your first meeting, you then volunteer for subsequent meetings via email on a race by race basis.
As per car meets, you are covered through BMMC membership to and from the venue and, of course, by signing on in the morning.

I marshalled at Three Sisters in the early '90s and it was always extremely good fun. Not been back there since then (blame a move to Stafford from St Helens) and I know the circuit has changed a lot since my day - but I'm sure it will be as good as it used to be. Thoroughly recommend if you're at a loose end with time to spare - simply for the experience.

Is Cliff Moss still involved?

Yes Cliff is still there, we couldn't get rid of him even if we wanted to.
