G'Day

Wonder if any of you kind folks happen to have a spare ticket for this meeting.

I did volunteer but as yet have not received any tickets.

Many thanks to you all.

Out of interest did you volunteer via the BMMC Website. I also have the same issue in that my details have not been forwarded.

I'm sure they get forwarded, because I receive the ones for Shelsley. Whether they get received is another matter... I seem to have had the same problem the last couple of years having used both the BMMC and Julian's website. I think I sent my Gold Cup volunteering by post.

I volunteered via the BMRMC but, as with all meetings, I only completed the form in late June when I arrived. Will do it early next year as I plan to get back in the UK around late April (ANZAC day is late April) / early May.

There is no doubt in my mind that the details were forwarded and the tickets mailed. We do not have the best mail delivery system in the village so I do think that is where the problem lies.

May I thank everybody concerned for their kind help and assistance and especially Alaister who was so prompt in arranging a ticket, and Kath who offered me her spare ticket.

Tis SUPERKARTS, they kept that one quiet. UK Cup for 125's and F250. Also a round of the 125 Open Uk Championship.

http://www.superkart.org.uk/2011_oulton_pk_aug.htm.

Took some searching - karts were on the paddock plan that was on the Porsche GB website, google did the rest.

Yeh another good days racing. Shame about the last race, a hunter abbot replay unfortunately left 2 porsches wrecked, well done to all the medical crews and marshals down there tho. Hole the lady marshal who was shaken up is ok, couldn't have done anything more and the drives walked out of it which is the important thing.

Drivers walked away after some serious effort to get them out

As first on scene, Russell and I really feared the worst - watching two Porsches roll towards you, one end over end, the other barrel rolling, is not something you see often, or want to, even. Running to the blue car on the wrong side of the barrier (my side !) with bottle in hand, I could see no movement from either driver, and was hoping that it wasn't going to go up just to add to matters - strong smell when we got there, and it wasn't me ....

I've also learnt today that getting even a concious person out of a car on it's side is not easy, too, even when you've ripped the door open and are holding on to the driver - that d*mn gravity just wedges them in tighter !!

Well done to everybody involved - happy ending ...
