dave vass should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Joe Jordan

I have just read on the Castle Combe web site that Joe Jordan has sadly passed away. I know that he has been pretty poorly for some time now, but even so he was determined to get to Combe and work as an Observer/DSO for as long as he was able.
I have known Joe for the forty plus years that we have marshalled together, especially at his beloved Castle Combe, as well as Thruxton and Silverstone. He was a highly respected observer and a great character, and will be sorely missed by those of us who knew him.
My sincere condolences go to Isobel and the rest of his family.
Funeral details are on the Castle Combe website forum.

Very sad to hear. I remember Joe from when I first marshalled at Combe all those years ago.

I remember Joe as one of my first Observer's at castle combe in the mid 70's.

Always plenty of banter, and practical training throughout the meeting.

He told me once, that he was in the same race as the Great Jim Clark.
He let Jim win!

A true character.

My condolancies to Isobell,and family.
