Used Formula Ford Control Tyres

Hi all,

Just about to start a little bit of racing, to get me started does any one have any last season, usable Formula Ford Control tyres which I could buy please?
Or can point me in the right direction??

Many thanks,
Mark.

Hi,

Im in Herefordshire, I think i'd rather acb10's. Are the acb9 more for the historic series? What sizes are they and how much are you looking for them?

Thankyou,
Mark.

My fault should have asked if you were running in the modern FF or classic/historic class. The acb9 is common in the classic series i think the modern use acb10 as the controlled tyre.

Yes ACB 10s are the tyre used in FFKent racing. ACB 9s are used in Historics I dunno where you can or have to use them. They look like the old Dunlops which were a different profile to ACB 10s and the gearing needed changed to use them. I'm not too sure if the ACB 9 profile/aspect ratio is different to the ACB10.

check out the classic formula ford club website, they have a gear ratio chart that has done all the hard work for you and shows or suggests the different ratios to suit whichever tyre you use.

I have 6 ACB 10's that have been stored in the dark for a few years and seem fresh but I wouldn't race with them. Good for slogging around. £50 01920 871153.

kartingdad has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
I have some sets of ACB 10's from the WHT from my 2 sons. Pretty much as new 10 laps old in the damp. (8 laps of race 1 and 2 laps in heat )

Bit too good for random testing though, but having said that no point in testing on worn out tyres as you will think car is horrible!.
