Very entertaining, probably for all the wrong reasons.

Controversial, hilarious, mortifying, tense. An 8.

Great entertainment, if not actually great racing. But that's showbiz!

I gave it a 4 only because of the snarky comments between the Merc and RBR drivers/management.
It would have been lower otherwise. FWIW, my own take is that the artificial manipulation of race results via these puketastic tyres, DRS, minimum fuel requirements, team orders (they were banned, weren't they?), etc, etc has really taken the racing out of the racing. It has gotten to the point where the qualies are actually more interesting than the race itself. I know that many of us (myself included) do not want to see parades and such but this has just gone too far with the contrived finishes. the "radio" segments would be far more interesting, actually, if they were the ones between the pit wall and the engineers rather than the pit wall and the drivers as they would provide far more insight into what was actually going on. I need to go to more Formula Ford or karting events... |

The race itself was intruiging for the most part for the enthusiast, but what happened after and was developing at the end was fascinating for anyone interested in human beings. Bumped my rating up several grades to an 8.
Modern F1 ditches the emotion too often for my liking, so in some ways this was a little refreshing. |

Yeah the human aspect was the best bit really. Fascinating if depressing in some ways.
The tyres and all that gubbins are still a mess though. |

The race was on course for a 7, high praise for me, but the farcical last quarter of the race has left a bad taste in the mouth.
Voted 4. |

7 , Would have scored higher if Nico R had "done a Vettel" and ignored orders , so we could see a proper Hammy/Nico scrap .

I gave it a 6. Had moments of "interest", however I need more than 1-2 laps of excitement per race to award it higher. Long periods of processional racing, not a lot going on for much of the time. Oh and i'm already sick of the DRS "automatic pass", drivers don't bother to put up a fight because they know its a full gone conclusion that a pass is going to happen.

I'd give the race itself about a 6-7 but I cannot stand races with these kind of controversies. Back on other forums I rated Austria 2002, Indy 2002 and Hockenheim 2010 a 1. So I'll give it a 4 for compromise, and also due to the fact this race doesn't bode well for the season.

Well, I was one of the minorities that felt we shouldn't have allowed team orders. This is what we get, folks. At least if it's banned, teams are very uncomfortable with having to do it. They have a lot to answer for with the press afterwards.
A team breaking the rules is not good for corporate relations. Anyway, to the race. I remember thinking "what would I give this race thus far?" (just before all the shenanigans) and I was thinking a 5. But, then it all kicked off and made things quite interesting, so I boosted it to a 7. Sorry folks, but it's all part of the package! Selby |

I have never seen so many sombre faces after a win (ie Red Bull). It reminded me of when Didier Pironi passed Gilles Villeneuve at the end of the race ignoring team orders. The podium was very tense.
The entertainment for me was during the race interviews where Webber scathed Vettel publically. That was classic. The intensity of that moment was outrageous. The camera panning at all the faces that looked tense and uneasy. Team orders are destroying racing more than anything. I feel for Mark when he was told to throttle back etc. If there were no team orders he would have kept pushing and there may have been no pass by Vettel in the first place. I hope F1 learns from team orders once again and bans it all together. It is uncalled for this early in the season. Poor Nico....although Hamilton was very sympathetic on the podium. Anyway, I wanted to vomit after I turned the tv off. |

5. Outwardly it had a veneer of excitement, but never lived up to promise. Shame it didn't stay wetter for longer. Massively disappointing end.

I would have given it a 9. I was really enjoying it. Downgraded to an 8 because of the distasteful stuff towards the end of the race.

Gave it 7....some good overtakes throughout the field....and of course one diabolical one........
Wish Alonso had come in at the end of lap one, and that Jenson's wheel had been bolted on properly.....then it could have been more interesting! |

Ignoring what was going on between the Red Bull and Mercedes drivers I can't say it was great race, it had some moments so a 6 for me.

Worst race ever! I have just boug a telly so I can sell it to never watch F1 again.
Brain shrapnel everywhere. The racing was fun and we get great intrigue that isn't hidden behind closed doors. All because team orders are back. Brilliant. The I messed up interview with Vettel was a classic. |
