British GP riders of the 80s

Can anyone tell me what happened to Alan Carter (250s) and Ian Maconacchie (125s) please? I know Maconacchie won 125 races for Krauser I think, but what happened after the 80s??
Thanks

Maconachie was a top 125 racer from around 86 as I recall.. Alan Carter won the 83 250 French GP as I remember but threw away the British 250 GPs in 84 and 85 I think. I'd be interested to hear if you had any info, the nets a bit sparse!
