Racenut should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Open the windows

After watching the debacle of tryin to open David Brabhams door on Sunday maybe its time to take the windows out? Imagine if he stopped on the side of the track, the (openable) passenger door hard up against the wall, and the car is on fire... how would he get out?

From a safety POV its time we left the window out completely. I wouldnt like to see a driver die if this scenario played out.

Moving the driver to the middle of the car in COTF was about driver safety, V8SC needs to look at this one before its too late.

peckstar has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
fair point.

Although i watched a few windows come out on the weekend , They appear to come out quite easily.

But the scenario mentioned does create an issue

With helmet, Hans, etc, I doubt he's coming through the window in a hurry even if it's open, especially if it's jammed up against the wall.

If both front door windows are open the driver will have a better chance of getting out than they do now. Even with HANS is a better option than current

I'm pretty sure the windows are designed to be easily lifted out in seconds in case of emergency. They have hand holds just for that purpose.

Just put proper windows back in them and wind them down if they need too?

The windows are perspex, have a handle built into them and lift out easily - they are designed to do so specifically for the type of situation you describe. A MUCH better solution than trying to deal with a glass window that can't move down into a damaged door. Trev Campbell is spot on & has clearly been paying attention.

The perspex window with handle was introduced long before COTF and has been mentioned many, many times by commentators in regard to being a good safety improvement.

Put the drivers in the centre of the cars, so they can get in from either side
