Lotus 6 Hour & Vee Festival/Victor Meldrew Trophy 9-10 Nov 2013 Brands Hatch

Timetable

The VMT .... possibly the simplest set of regulations ever devised

Prepare to be flummoxed, baffled, perplexed, bewildered, confounded or plain discombobulated during the day ... and that's just the VMT drivers

I wonder who will be Victor victor this year

See folks there

Me too, I don't have much time for the lotus 6 hour but wouldn't miss the Victor Meldrew

Does anyone know if flat caps are being handed out at sign on or do we need to bring our own!

Thanks to all on P4 on Saturday - low in numbers but good company and things dealt with well when required.

Thanks also to the team on P4 on Sunday - an increase in numbers but again good company and good work all round.

See folks soon

Thanks to you all for marshalling. Beautiful but chilly weather.

In case the message didn't get through, this year's Victor was Mike Collins in car 39.
Proof that to become Victor, consistency, age and weight are what you need.

See you next year

A very nice day again, a shame the entries were a bit on the low side.
A bit too much damage too, but that is racing I guess.
Hope the Meldrew is on again next year.

A big thank you to the team on post 7 on the Sunday, great job, great gang. Hope to have you all back again soon.

Right, now I can be grumpy gain as usual.

Eddy, how could I have missed you, would have loved to have had a brew with you seeing as my problems where being piston broke. Big thanks to all you guys at the top of paddock in helping me to retrieve the little red Fiesta even with a live track, hope you had some doughnuts, see you next year.

Hi Eddy
Sorry not to have seen you. Think it was at Spa last time?
Not sure why the entries were down. Economy I imagine.
I wasn't aware of any body damage but there were several mechanical problems.
We'll give it another try next year. Can you sort the weather again?

thanks also from everyone at LoTRDC really appreciated the efforts of those who made it to brands on Friday night and Saturday for our Lotus sessions.

i know our 6hr grid wasn't up to it's usual numbers but we had a large number of teams still running at the end and it contained some quality drivers so hopefully that made up for it a little.

thanks also to tim i think it was who took me under his wing on friday night.

we really do appreciate the time and effort you all put in.

I really enjoyed the weekend, thanks very much to everyone involved!

I wondered if anyone fancied having a look at some photos from the meeting:

I'm easy to miss I guess guys.
But I didn't have time to look you up, as during the only break, I had to be at race control because of a radio problem.
And no, I didn't break it.

Shame we missed, but usually we are all too busy during race days.
See you all next time, whenever that may be.
