Fantasy Pole duel cars 1994 IndyCar vs Today
So...
Looking at the Pole times from 500's past, Al Unser's car in 1994 did a 228.011. There were others before that faster (Roberto Guerrero, Tony Stewart ,Scott Brayton). It's a given they might beat today's pole times (would the lack of apron slow these guys much?) but how would they do in the race? Given the tires of that era vs today and the fuel they could use then vs today? How would they do in a race against today's cars? Sure, there are a lot of variables to consider, but theoretically speaking..... |
