Who is this?
I have been given a photo of a bloke called Jonny Hardman in an Aston Martin 50’s Le Mans car
Anyone with an idea of who he is? Know of Tom but never heard of a Jonny! |

Peter Hardman was a regular pilot of a DBR1 maybe a relation?

Peter is the well known driver.
Have been told the fellow I am intrigued to find is from Midlands so a strong link with Peter Could be that the fellow I thought was driving was actually the passenger with a relative being the passenger? Needle in haystack job! |

I was sent a photo of a fifties DB3S Aston the other day and asked if I recognised the driver who I was told name Jonny Hardman.I have no idea age of picture or if it was a real Aston. The driver it seems according to the information did Monte Carlo Historic’s andLe Mans and from West Midlands
Not worth taking it very far and it was just seeing if anyone recognised the name. It’s not Peter Hardman in car. |

The Cooper connection is closest to real name but looks about 50 so it doesn’t work age wise.
Leave it at moment! |

Can you recognise the car, John? Not many DB3's around any more, might give a clue.

Anyone recognise this happy chappy? at a guess I'd say the photo was 10 years old. most phones have much better resolution now, let alone cameras.

Cheers Zef
Spoke to one of the main men in Historic’s last night and he didn’t recognise him and thought the car was a copy This all started when I mentioned to a mate that all people are only one person away from anyone else involved in the pastime! At that point he sent me copy of photo and asked did I know of this car as he was looking for a real one and unlike other types there doesn’t seem any for sale. |

Right well, I think that is indeed a copy and it's not of a DB3S. It's a copy of a DBR1/300, of which only 5 were built and they would all be £20million plus, if they ever came up for sale.

As you say ,the originals are very rare & expensive. https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qJNGTYsSK...0/IMG_0526.JPG But 1 can be bought for less than 1% of the price of an original. |

I'm not in the slightest bu up on old Astons, but it does look very fstraight and precise . . .as opposed to the other photos of presumably genuine and properly used cars. Hand made cars are not often symetrical when theyre made let alone after a few nudges.
