Arc 2001

The 2001 Australian Rally Championship will be kicking off in Sydney on the 8th of March. The first time a ARC rally has been in Sydney.

The big question remains as to whether Possum Bourne will be running his WRCar or have to put it in the shed for either a year or forever.

Elephino I think you will find the answer to at least one of your questions here
The question may be for how long will Possum drive a group N before getting bored!!

Last I heard WRCars were still eligible and it was up for review as for how much longer. It would depend on support by the manufacturers.

But there isn't much point only have one of them.

Do we know what neal Bates will be doing?

If Bates and Bourne give it a miss, who will be champion? My money is on Ordynski, I think he is sick of losing to Crocker and he and his team will do whatever it takes to get the crown.

That article says that Bourne will run a group N car,
There were rumors of Hyundai and Ford running WRC cars, the Focus was supposedly left here in perth after rally australia, but was shipped back when they changed the ARC regs.

I agree there's not much point in running 1 WRC car, but is it much different from this past year. When Bates' only hope is for Possum to have a problem.
