Russian Roulette

Max Mosley has said that Moscow is still in line to get a grand prix race in 2004, but that it won’t be Silverstone that makes way for the new event. He also said that it was more than his life was worth to reveal that the European Grand Prix at the Nurburgring was hot favourite for the chop. Or even San Marino.

Ralf Fined For Rear-Ending

Last week in a German court Ralf Schumacher was fined 10,000 euros for running into the back of a queue of stationary traffic on a German motorway. The court dismissed Ralf’s defence that the queue of traffic changed direction twice and braked early for Dusseldorf.

Irv Firmly Behind New Punishments

There have been mixed reactions from drivers about the 10-grid-places and drive-thru penalties.

Ralf Schumacher has suggested that drivers should act as stewards. Rubens Barrichello says that the stewards should be the same from race to race. Jacques Villeneuve says the decisions of the stewards should be consistent and Irv has called for big, busty 20-year-old female stewards to visit him in his motorhome and issue punishments for being a bad, BAD boy.

Rubens Doesn’t See Red

Rubens Barrichello has said that he’s not disappointed to be driving last year’s car at his home grand prix, and he’s quite happy that team-leader Michael Schumacher gets the new F-2002, while he’s in the F-2001.

He’s just going to go out, buy a can of blue paint and daub SAUBER down the side of it.

Stewards Go Retro

Plans have been put forward to backdate the ‘avoidable accident’ penalty through previous F1 seasons stretching back five years. To start the process, stewards have called Jacques Villeneuve in front of the committee for his shameless collision with Michael Schumacher in 1997 that robbed Schumi of the world championship.
