Lets Go Shopping

OK the silly season is getting closer, and all the team managers are looking at their current drivers performances, and the other talent around.

So team by team, what would you be thinking. Of your current drivers, who's contract is being renewed, and who's is being 'misfiled'.

And if your not planning on keeping your current driver(s) - who's on the shopping list? Try and keep it realistic ie; Stoddart should'nt really try to get Schumacher, and Jaguar are'nt really gonna keep irvine.

Ferrari:

Driver 1:Michael - Pay the man what he wants.

Driver 2:Rubins - Tell him we're going back to a paid-for-points system

Montoya, Button, Heidfeld, Rubins (if we're desperate)


Williams:

Driver 1:Ralf - Keep on current salary - no increases.

Driver 2:Montoya - Double Ralf's money (but deduct car damage - this should save us a few bucks)

Keep these 2, one safely banks points, the other might win the championship if he settles down.


McLaren:

Driver 1:Coultard - Offer him same package that Yoong is on.

Driver 2:Kimi - Keep for now

Shopping List
Anyone other than DC or worse, Irvine. Heidfeld, Fisi and Montoya all good choices if possible.


Sauber:

Driver 1: Nick - if we can - keep him!

Driver 2: Massa - sell this stock before it's worth nothing.

Stick to usual plan of finding new talent we can sell later. Where else can we get that 15% of our budget from?


Renault:

Driver 1:Trulli - if car is a race winner, dump him. If not keep him.

Driver 2:Button - same as above.

We need a team leader. Not too old (not DC, EI, or JV), but ready to win races.


Toyota:

Driver 1: Salo - will make an excellent number 2 next year.

Driver 2:McNish - offer food stamps for drive. If he accepts, recind offer.

A team leader and developement driver required. Frenzie may be an option.


Arrows:

Driver 1: Frentzen - who are we kidding, we're not gonna keep him.

Driver 2:Bernoldi - driver pretty well for a bag of money - accept his offer of cash

Jaguar:

Driver 1:Irvine - take McNish's offer and halve it. If he accepts - shoot him.

Driver 2:Pedro - take this years salary, deduct panel damage, but add back what we sold the extra gravel for.

Entire new team, starting with Lauda.


Jordan:

Driver 1: Fisi - keep if we can

Driver 2:Sato - hide him one of the Honda engines boxes that we are returning.

New engine, and whatever driver comes with it.


BAR:

Driver 1:Villenuerve - we can't afford his sunglass bill let alone his salary - lose him.

Driver 2: Panis - good lad - try and stop him going back to Mclaren where he did more miles as a tester.

Minardi:

Driver 1:Yoong - it's funny putting his name next to that label. This guy has plenty of cash.... er sorry, talent. Lets keep him.

Driver 2:We got Alonso and we got Webber. I'm sure Flav can get us someone else to replace yet another talented driver departing us.
