Yoong Montoya should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Did Minardi have to pay for their engines in 2001?

I know that Minardi have to use customer Cosworth engines last year that were 3 years old. But did they have to actually pay for them? Sorry if it sound like a silly question, but they were customer engines.

Well they were $hit engines so I wouldn't have paid for them.

No!! When Stoddart bought Minardi, he inherited heaps of those lumps, and he was quoted as saying that he didn't mind them blowing up because he had heaps of them left.

By the way, why did you ask?

I was just unsure, that's all. I didn't realise that Minardi still had loads of those old Cosworth engines lying around. At least they have Asiatechs now.

I hope you're not going to try to fob off those old lumps to Arrows are you? I mean they are desperate, but nobody can be that desperate.
