Arrows Announcement - Where is it?

It's painfully obvious the team has gone under, and is unlikely to return.

What happened to the 'American Investor'?

Why did TW blow the Pollock deal off without a concrete alternative?

Whats happening with Bernoldi?

Who would seriously invest in a sinking F1 team, what would you get for your money, some chassis, some old tyres, the engines have been reposessed, not much else left, may as well let it sink and then pick over the bones and get a bargain.Sad to see them go,especially without ever winning,I can still remember Patresse nearly pulling it off on their first GP.TW is a very astute businessman theres obviously good reasons to let it sink than try to carry it on.

The staff at Arrows are currently on 'gardening leave' and haven't been paid for two months now.

An announcement was supposed to have been made yesterday. I cannot see anyone wanting to get involved in a TW shady deal. I think that Morgan Grenfell have done their dough cold. For anyone else to spend that much money as an initial commitment to spending another 100 million to play in F1, any buyer would want to spend a lot of time on the due dilligence, and I wouldn't be surprised that would have revealed a few things that would have made Pollock pull out. In the final analysis, one would not have to be a rocket scientist to figure out that it would be cheaper to put down the refundable $45 million deposit, than to pay heaps for the Arrows team, and become mired in lotsa "encumbrances". After all, with Arrows gone, there are two vacancies in F1.

Why has Mr Kipling never gotten into F1? I'd love to see an ExceedinglyF1 team on the grid...a whole new approach - they could be sponsored by Werther's Originals and bring a bit of class to F1 - Grid Grannies, with pocketfuls of sweets...

If we all offered a £5 or $10 and bought it, would that give us the chance of pit lane access?

I mean, they fail to bring a car wihout getting penalised so, couldn't we do the same?

I have my wallet out as I speak!

ExceedinglyF1... good name

Mr Jarce - it's been tried before. We couldn't even get together to buy a Minardi.

Minardi are up for FREE!

If you take on the $30 million debts.

I have a great proposal - we offer to buy Minardi for free if Bernie will take on the debt, and give us enough money to run the show. Jukes can look after the valves, and I'll organise the tyre changes, and Minardi Fan can look after the refuelling, and Liz can do the lap charts. That just about covers everything. Oh !! Red can do the telemetry.

I can start going through the yellow pages asking if people will sponsor us, if you like - we can even save on stickers, and cut the adverts straight out and sellotape them on!

Still no word from Arrows. Makes me wonder whether the team really exists or if they have simply vanished completely.

Journalists try to contact Arrows, but nobody seems to be there, and their 28 day extention they got from the courts is also over, so I think it will be anounced soon: Arrows are bankrupt!

This is a sad development for F1, and is indicative of the inability of non works teams to meet the escalating costs in running an F1 team. This is by no means a schlocky team - it had a very good driver, reasonably good second driver, good engine, and it all went south when the expenditure far outweighed the incoming cashflow. I suppose one cannot blame TW for being anxious to be successful, but it is sad that F1 loses a second team in two years.

And that day is just around the corner.

Arrows never cut it. They were born under shadey circumstances and never were consistent front runners. Save for the wonderful Hungarian GP in 1997 and a couple of near misses by Patrese in their first years, they were cursed. Arrows hardly has covered itself with glory.

There is still no press release on the subject so until then I guess they technically still exist. It would make sense for the FIA and other F1 teams to try and give them the winter months as a grace period to try and salvage something from the mess. Of greater importance is getting as close to a full grid as possible for next season.

With Fiat losing money hand over fist I wonder how much longer they can keep pouring money into Ferrari?
