sgw2 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
First Test times in

Time to stop worry worting and start thinking about the racing.

Autoweek gave the first test times reported from Homestead:

Tony Kanaan, Andretti-Green, Dallara-Honda, 205.871 mph
Kenny Brack, Team Rahal, Dallara-Honda, 204.005
Gil de Ferran, Team Penske, Dallara-Toyota, 202.779
Scott Sharp, Kelley Racing, Dallara-Toyota, 202.323
Helio Castroneves, Team Penske, Dallara-Toyota, 202.247
Sam Hornish Jr., Panther Racing, Dallara-Chevrolet, 201.945

Hornish won the pole (and race) at Homestead last year at 202.884 mph

Looks like the pole speed may 207-208 range. Hard to tell who is running flat out besides Kanaan. I suspect there is a lot more speed yet to be found for everybody.

Well that must be encouraging for Honda after all the talk of how strong Toyota are going to (supposedly) be.

That's the way they have always shown it in Indy.Divide by length of circuit (1 ml?) to find time.

It would be a shame if Hornish was beaten badly because his engine sucked. Test times are infamously inaccurate so don't read too much into it.

What horrible times! A VW bug could be driven faster than that!
