Should'nt that read NASACAR live on NASN via the Sky System? Its nothing to do with Sky other than you can access it via their EPG,and you have to pay a subscription. Doubt that I will bother unless Shawna Robinson gets a proper drive..

NASN is a pay channel and there is no way I'm going to pay for it.

Even if you only watch the winston cup, a years subscription works out to about £3.15 per race, that means you get the busch and crafstman truck for free.

Any serious NASCAR fan won't have to give any thought at all to the question of subscribing to NASN. £3.15 for a live 4 hour Winston Cup race... It's a bargain!

Question is how many serious NASCAR fans are there in Europe? I watch practically any sort of motorsport, but we are now faced with more than we can deal with.NASCAR will clash with CART/IRL not to mention F1/ETCC/BTCC/DTM erlier on a Sunday.

Its not about being a serious fan!!!!

Its about affording it. Which I (nor my parents) can.

The Bud Shootout will be on free-view Sunday night 6pm-7pm.

Great news. Lets hope the rest of the season is on free-view.

And it'll work! wouldn't be surprised if they add another one mid-way through the season though, just if interest is dropping or something.

Debrief

So, what did people think?
It needs work, certainly. OK, first attempt and everthing - but quite a few gremlins. If you're going to screen what happens during the ads - please get some commentary, prefably from FOX carrying on after a pause. If you're going to take a break - do it during the US break and not straight after - it's pointless! And don't cut to a section just before another ad-break after one of yours.
If this was an as-live race, then I'm worried for what'll happen when it's live on Thursday!
However, it was really good to see it Freeview; and put faces to the voices I know so well.
And good to here the "Boogity's" again.

NASN did pretty well with the live coverage of the 125s, I thought - they seemed to give up trying to time their ad/trailer breaks and stuck with the American feed all the way, sometimes picking up the MRN commentary when Fox were off the air.

Good value for money so far - the only thing concerning me now is how they would cope with a rain delay (apparently thunderstorms are forecast for Sunday)

If you work it out-its cheaper to subscribe for a whole year than just for the NASCAR season itself...thats what Iv'e done anyway although I had to pay a £2 conection fee! Anyway I shall be in front of the box Sunday afternoon!

Absolutely, once the kinks are worked out of the coverage it should be excellent.
I see Eurosport are only showing a half-hour highlights programme on the 500! I mean, PLEASE!! 500 laps condensed into 1/2hour??? What an insult.

Now if only that #18 car could make better starts......
