Aero result.

Quote from Matt @ V8Central.

"In M News (no.249), aero testing has revealed that Holden may keep its front downforce by mounting the radiator on a different angle and that this could change after the tests have concluded. Over to you Ford.... "

May I suggest that all Ford supporters email AVESCO with their concerns about this matter. Go to www.v8supercars.com.au and click on "have your say".

Is this now becoming simply a clearing ground for other forums to have their threads and comments repeated on?

Quite possibly- Tricky, if you want to say something, why not put it into your own words instead of cutting and pasting from elsewhere?

And White Knight- we don't exactly have anything to be happy about, and haven't had anything since Henry Ford quit after one race meeting! Ok, that might be stretching it slightly...

white knight why wouldn`t we be having a say went the whole class is devoted to holden winning.Lets see idiot 94 and Bowie just wins the championship oww no can`t have that penalize the fords before bathurst,97 Seton wins championship on consistantcy and less wins than hrt but lets again penalize the fords before the 1000,it seems like holden give more to $$$$$ to the powers that be and have to get looked after. There`s my winge spastic....

Actually Toploader Bowe was champ in '95 they won Bathurst in '94.The parity adjustment happened twice before Bathurst in '95.As for the dollars argument their political machine is much more potent than ours

We haven't even seen the new race cars. They haven't turned a wheel but the FF (Ford Flips) have already got their bag of excuses ready . . . "Holden/AVESCO blah blah blah . . . " Really if they didn't spend so much of 2002 running into each other it could have been a far better result for the blue oval.

Besides no matter what you do to it . . . its still a Ford.

white knight, if the shoe was on the other foot you would be whinging too. every year when a ford team has done well the powers that be have penalised all the fords, seton in 93 & 97, bowe in 95, then when the AU was introduced holden through a tantrum over the original aero kit & it was disallowed, yet here we have a situation where a holden team have dominated for 5 years & nothing is done & holden couldnt meet the required downforce figures for the VY so the chop the fords rear wing, now the radiator situation...
us ford supporters have had a gut full with holden getting everything its own way, that is why we are so PI**ED OFF
maybe oneday you holden supporters will see past your own noses & reckognise these facts

In 1993 Ford ran 1-2-3-4 in the championship, Seton from Jones, Bowe and Johnson. In 1995 it came down to the final round between Bowe and Seton both in Fords, and in 1997 it was between Seton and Bowe in Fords and Ingall in a Holden at the last round.

Yep, and '93 Holdens received a mid year change in time for Bathurst that made them nearly 2 secs quicker than the Falcon.

95 Holdens again received a mid year change.

Can't recall any 97 parity adjustments at the moment.

Balance that with how quickly Ford have received a parity adjustment and the scales would break.

Dude, It's HRT that is the 'Problem' not Holden, take HRT/TWRA out of the equation and it's all square. (how may times does that need to be said?, seriously)

I made up a list of the parity adjustments made to both brands since the inception of the category, I think it's in the 'Parity' thread, but I could be wrong. A few things could be missing, but anyone who's interested might want to have a look anyway.

How many times does it need to be said that when Fords were adjusted in the past it was only one team winning then too. And i'm a holden fan.

I also seem to recall Murphy had the fastest car by a mile in '97 & would have one the championship at a canter if someone in HRT had not messed around with the driveline

From memory i'm pretty sure you are right, he had an outside chance at least at the final round.

If Holden move the position of the radiator after the tests were completed to increase downforce wouldn't they be committing a breach of the rules in some way. After all the test was conducted to achieve parity and parity applies for the whole season, not just the aero test session.
