Nordic should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Kevin McGarrity

I am sure all will join me in sending our best wishes to Kevin McGarrity who suffered some 'breakages' to his lower leg at sebring last weekend.
Get well soon and look forward to LM in 10 weeks!

Yea, hopefully Kevin will be back behind the wheel in due course, and isn't in too much discomfort right now.

Just a quick update on Kevin from DSC, he has been relesed from hospital, after breaking his feet. He is back in the UK with the help of Johnny Kane and Marino Franchitti, who carried him on to the plane.

Get well soon.

That was a horrible accident -- we were up on the track when it happened and nearly got run down by the ambulance and saw him carried inside. I'm glad he is no worse injured and wish him a very speedy recovery.

Man, what's worst was the fire behind the driver seat after that hard impact. Thank god for safety technology.

What caused him to go off, was it contact or a driver error?

I hear he and the team are pretty upset with the marshalling nad have lodged a complaint...I have to admit when I watched it on TV it did appear that a marshall wandered up, casually let off a fire extinguisher, looked in the car and walked off again...

What was the marshall thinking? He could have helped McGarrity out of the car immediately.

I understand another driver reported that the 360 was hit by a Bentley

He was a lucky chap from what I heard. We did not have TV access in the UK, altho' via the Sebring website, live radio coverage was possible. Not being able to see what happened is worse in some ways, and it is not the ghoulishness coming to the fore here... When any driver has a shunt, lack of knowledge can be a hard thing to have to put up with. It was the same a couple of seasons back in Formula 1 when Luciano Burti had that monster shunt in Belgium. No news is always bad news, even when you do see the accident...

My best wishes go out to McGarrity and I hope he gets well soon!

dailysportscar has an "independent observer" report on the incident, saying that it was indeed a Bentley, and that it was essentially a "racing incident."

I wish Kevin well.
