Croft - Barc 24th & 25th May

Are any ten-tenth members going to be at the Barc meeting this weekend at Croft?
It looks like a fun two days - although I'll only be there for the Saturday!

We've got two Renaults out there, let's hope it stays dry, I'm not sure I fancy that place in the wet!!!

I hope to get to see you then Bob, perhaps in the lunch break. I know that SJC-214 will also be there in the rescue truck.....so hopefully you won't see him!

Don't bank on it, we set an alltime record the year before last when we couldn't even build one car out of two after the first Saturday qualifying!!

And I'll be the one dropped off in a scenic by wife & two kids eager to go shopping in Darlington - so I hope I get a post near to sign on or I'll be thumbing a lift from tees rescue!

If it's shopping she's after , an hour up the road is the Gateshead metro centre, biggest in Europe, or perhaps you don't want her to know this.......

you guys didn't have an unfortunate crash last year where your son's car ended up upside-down in the field beyond turn 8 "tower" by any chance? - if so, I was first there & wet myself laughing when his first words were "I didn't know I could fly!!"

Yes,
That was Ian my son, thanks for the prompt attention although, as you saw, he was O.K.
I'm driving that car this week-end and he is driving the ex Andre Lotterer car which we picked up in Hannover during the winter.

Any one who saw the 2nd Formula Saloon Car Race see why the Audi spun at the Clarke Curves. Race was a cracker, the Calibre of Ric Wood is a lovely car but had his hands full keeping all those cars behind.

It was a shame we missed each other, I was looking forward to meeting a few of you guys. I was doing my husbandly bit and walking round Darlington with Mrs P. Luckily the shops were shut so it kept the costs down.
The new car looks nice enough, but we can't quite get it to bridge the gap to the front runnners. Ian won a few races last year in the 97, so he is keen to get there with this car.
