LOL!

It's a sad time in F1 when someone who "can't drive" is on pole position at one of the trickiest tracks in the world!

Well done Ralf lad! Big finger up at the doubters... Now let's hope he has fuel in his car for tomorrow!

I don't belive it...Williams will be the first cars in out of the McLaren/Ferrari/Renault teams I bet.

Doesn't it seem sad that drivers like Fisichella, Coultard, Barrichello, and Ralf all have secure seats in F1, despite having had race winning cars for many more seasons than Jacques, yet failing to chalk up as many wins as he (let alone a WDC) that it is Jacques who doesn't have a drive in F1??? Sad indeed.

Well done Ralf, that was a good lap, assuming both he and JPM have equal fuel. Very close at the front with Renault in there as expected.

Great lap by Da Matta as well, for a Monaco rookie to trounce a Monaco expert is superb (again, assuming no fuel difference).

Coulthard was also off the pace of Kimi, which doesn't look good.

Oh and thank God none of the smaller teams ahve ran light jsut to get publicity and get in the way.

Good lap. Look at the top ten! 8 Michelins. Kinda sad if you ask me. Only Ferraris on Bridgestones made the top ten.

RS did well to beat the rest of the field. These times are ridiculous. Some teams went very light. There is no way unless there was a huge amount of sandbagging going on that times could be quicker in 2nd qualifying that in the first. The stratigies between teams are very interesting.

Great result for Ralf Schumacher !!!!

I believe it's fair to say it was a great lap by an excellent driver with a great engine flattering a lousy chassis.

Go Ralf !!

Yes this is very strange every single driver (except Wilson) set a faster time today than they did in 1st qualifing!
In fact cars 1-9 on the grid tomorrow went faster than TGF's 1m16.305s that put him in P1 on Friday!!!

What's going on here?

Just a great lap by Ralf - brilliant stuff! Great to have him on pole.

Da Matta also did a great job outqualifying Panis who's driven here numerous times..

OK, ralf got pole, which is a start, but can he win the race? Can he hold off the entire grid for two hours tomorrow?
