I need help! (can't choose between the IRL game & the F1 Career challenge!)
Who has both or either one of those games and can give me some advice (eg. which one is better and stuff)?
Oh, a poll should do the trick! |

Go with F1CC! Great physics! MOD potential is huge! The game will have staying power.
Codemasters I have found to be rather arcady in general, and besides it's the IRL. ''yaaawwwn' |

Anything by Codemasters has limited life as it is hard to modify. EA's F1 games are pretty open for mods and it is no competition. There is already an IRL mod for F1 2002 and it should transfer to F1 C pretty readily. All the IRL tracks are available now for F1 C also. F1 C also has some nice tweaks so that the AI can be more competitive on banked curves than in F1 2002.
If on line racing is what you are after then I can't comment too much. Many have said F1 C is pretty strong now. Don't know about the IRL game. Matt OOooops! Just see that you say PS2. Ignore the above! Last edited by Matt Lucas; 2 Jul 2003 at 01:44. |

I say Indycar! I got it at release, it's superb, although my version is the Xbox game. As for the comment about it possibly being arcadey, it's about the most hardcore console game I've ever seen, totally authentic. Buy!
F1 looks good too, but it's ONLY another EA F1 effort, albeit one with a twist... |

No, I still haven't got into GPL. Sorry...... I know it's supposed to wipe the floor with every other racer but I'm first and foremost a console player so it's all a bit daunting..... |

F1 game is great, i was very supprised at the graphics, when i first played i didn't think that they were all that great but playing with Montoya, and seeing the wonderful graphics in the reflection of his helmet i've changed my mind, great game.
