billnchristy should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Did Judd go in and out of business in 03?

What was up with the beginning of the year when all Judds were rebadged MGs? From what I could gather was MG had bought Judd out and all their stock had become MGs.

Was this change just discounted by the fans or was Judd re-established?

Their website is http://www.engdev.com and there is no mention of the MG link-up at all even though there are 'news' stories going back to 2002. Make of that what you will.

Judd merely badge-engineered engines as MG-XPower, it was a marketing deal, not a buy out

You beat me to it, Graham Goodwin...

That line of thinking and deal working began back in the summer of 2002, when CART was looking at changing their engine formula and had been talking with Judd about being a supplier....since CART wanted the manufacturer link to their powerplants, MG was the one that would do the marketing partnership with Judd to re-badge them...

But that whole idea went down the tubes when CART chose to retain their turbo formula....but MG and Judd kept talking and ultimately announced the badging and marketing deal in January of 2003

Wasn't Durango the only car that used the MG badge for their Judd?

for the first couple of races in ALMS the Dallara Judd was listed as an MG, thats what led to the question.
