Arena to run Dome at Le Mans
Autosport (mag version) are reporting that Mike Earle/Arena are going to run a Dome-Mugen at Le Mans this year.
Stefan Johansson has been confirmed as one of the drivers. Great news and another one to add to the entry list!

Great news indeed!
I was a bit worried that Johansson wouldn't get a drive this year. Let's just hope the Dome-Mugen runs better this year than last.

Well I haven't seemed to have received my Autosport Mag yet but to hear that Arena are running a Dome is terrific new!

Haven't got Autosport yet, but will Arena run in the LMEs too? It would seem silly not to.
One Dome and 3 Honda Civics; it's going to be a busy year for Mike Earle! |

DSC are suggesting that the Kondo Dome-Mugen will be back as well for LM. No mention of LMES for the Arena car though....

The Kondo's Dome is the ex-John Nielsen machine. |

What are the Dome chassis numbers ? I thought Chamberlain owned the ex-nielson machine ?

Didn't see this one coming, but it is great news. That will be a busy weekend for Arena as they will also be running there 3 BTCC Honda Civic's at Mondello Park, which is the same weekend as Le Mans....

It is certainly good news, but why exactly should a team expect an LM invite, with a car that they have never run before, nor plan on entering in LMES?
Hopefully they do run in the LMES(or ALMS), or really, they don't deserve to be at LM. |

I belive it is, from what Autosport says the Arena car is a new chassis and is the sister one to the Kondo/Chamberlain car.

Kondo's Dome Mugen was purchased last year unraced from Team Goh, it is not chassis 001.

Still no opinion about the Mugen engine ? We know how good could be the Dome chassis, but I still not trust the Mugen...

yeah, that's right... Nielsen ex car was run in 2002 by kondo, and then bought by chamberlain. Last year's kondo car was a new one, the 004...
About the engine, I think it'll sonn become a winner... because when you see how it was in the LMP07 IN 2002 and how it was last year, I was really impressed... it was really better. So, this year, it'll be certainly nearly as good as the Judds(gv4 and gv5) |

I think it will be a great battle between the four Domes at Le Mans this year, if courage is right about the Mugens, which sounds pretty right to me, going against two Judd’s from RFH then the battle behind the Audis should be terrific! Maybe with a lot of luck a Dome might even place 3rd, who knows what could happen....
