where to watch FIAGT?

I'm a newcomer to the FIA GT series (via playing the GTR2002 mod to F12002 by SimBim) and I can't seem to find where I can track the races?

Is there a place where I can listen to internet broadcasts like I have for the ALMS races here in the states? I know that the series won't be broadcast in the states anywhere and am wondering if any of you have any suggestions?

If you are in Europe then the races are shown on Eurosport, either live or as a same day highlights package. If you are in the US I belive that the races are shown on The Speed Channel, but I may be wrong.

The Speed Channel only shows them tape delayed, so we'd be getting them like during the winter. However, Eurosport.com shows it live, but without comentators during the race. It is great to just hear and see the cars. I'm sure if you ask 19dodge about it he will tell you what to do, etc., since he first told me about it and it's a little fuzzy right now.

I'll drop him a pm and see what he says, but you're right, the delay until next winter would be excruciating. Are they broadcast without commentary to allow for the commentary to be done in various languages?

well the speed channel didn't show the FIA GT in the winter this year so it's no guarentee here in the states. speed rather shows nascar and other stock car series and i hate stock cars

Speed shows lots of NASCAR races. Speedweeks was unbearable. The only GT racing I saw on Speed was British GT over the winter, tape delayed.

That may be true, but inbetween the ETCC races and on the starting grid and in victory lane they have English-speaking commentators talking to the drivers. Come time for the first race, I will post something about it if you just send me a PM or something like that. Or like I said, talk to 19dodge.

on race weekends, Eurosport.com is the place to be. They have a live weekend video feed that lets you see the race live (also shows the live practice, and also the ettc stuff) and when the british eurosport is broadcasting, you can click on the live audio feed and listen to the commentary. its actually quite nice, but doing both things at once requires 2 computers.

That is awesome. Thanks a bunch for the help! Only a month left to go...hopefully F1 will fill the void.

I see where Eurosport is broadcasting the the warm-up and the fia-gt and etcc races on sunday. Are these the times they will be broadcast on the web as well? do they post a link somewhere on their website when these events are live?

That is the schedule for this weekend. AFAIK, the times generally stay the same for most rounds. The times are Central European Times, which is 6 hours ahead of the East Cost U.S. That means Sunday morning I will be waking up around 5 to watch the races.

If you got ot the Motorsports section and then click around for a couple minutes under Audio/Video of the LG SRW section you should find it, yes.

everything will be back this year, including the live video, live timing and scoring and the live comments. all the links will appear on raceday (or sometimes the saturday before)
