Walshy should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
The Start.....Oulton.........24th......

I'm looking forward to the start on the 24th. I think it's gonna to be really interesting.

It's been proven, by the likes of Gavin Wills that the conversion cars, mainly post 2000, whilst being very quick on a given lap, are not the quickest off the start line. As will prove to be, I can see most of them hogging the front rows of the grid.

Now, the earlier cars behind them, lets say the VD90's & 91's and the Swift 92's & 93's etc will get off the line much quicker as has been shown last year. We could have some interesting moments into Old Hall...........

I hope to be at Oulton to see this. My season begins on the 1st of May at Kirkistown....I can't wait.
I would like to come and see you lot in the paddock if I may....you know to try and put faces to the names.

It's still being talked about our team coming to Oulton to do a race. We were hoping for a date eothere the week before our Silverstone Round or the week after. This would save us having to cart the cars over twice.

We race at Silverstone on 31st July and I don't think your meetings fit in with that. Anyway we will try later in the year......If Diz will let us.

So here's to some safe racing this season chaps.....
...Cheers. <Beer>

What's "TWO DOGS" running this season?

Does anyone know what "TWO DOGS" is running this year. I have his last seasons RF90....so I am just curious.

In case two dogs looks in on the forum I have attached a photo of how she looks now. No longer red and white.

If you want a race the week after Silverstone July 31, try the Edwina Overend Memorial race at Mallory. £140 entry for (possibly) two 15 minute races - and a £2,000 prize fund.

Heel'n'toe Stu Dix is racing a Swift 92 in North West FF again this year.

You look like you have done a good job rebuilding the car. Hope to see you out in NWFF sometime ths year.

Regards

It's amazing what Mike can do with a lick of paint and a wipe with an oily rag.
It's running well too.....in Mikes hands. I wish I could say the same when I'm peddling it.

Anyway I hope to see you all at Oulton.

Cheers

I am not sure Dave. There was 1 place left a couple of days ago. Give steve Burns a call. How is Hutchs old car?

You could always come back to the fully rebuilt Reynard at UCLAN Racing and be my team mate!!

Hutchs car is still well bent. His data logger still shows his last crash info, 112mph, 4.3G impact, one bent car. Dave Brown is putting it back together, it will be spot on. He's a bit side-lined with my swift at the mo. I gave it bit of a hammering at Coombe! It needed a fresh engine, new front wheel bearings and a new front anti-roll bar, god knows how I snapped that! No wonder it was a bit smoky after the race.

I didn't realise UCLAN had anyone, I had some good fun with that lot!!

Thats a better site than the one I use If it is wet and oily we have had good practise last Thursday, still I would prefare a dry day.

The tickets and regs have just landed as its the first race I will read them good job I did no more green lights at the start and we all must attend a drivers briefing (mandatory)thats another word for a waste of our time.

Blue Nose I didn't get my stuff today...... Opened all post before I left for work.... maybe they have left me out!!

In my first race last year in a FF I didn't realise that there was no green flag lap!! Everyone swamped me and I was thinking that FF1600 drivers were very agressive into the first corner for a warm up lap until I worked it out that the race had started!!!

Jnr Jnr, I down loaded that last week but the only car I can get is a Jag E Type on the Brands Indy Circuit.... Great fun though!!

There is a new download available where the fford at oulton is available to race. It is a network / internet raceplay demo - no computer opponents to race, just real people if you go to one of the servers.

I see the pre 87 race is due to start at 5.35 not much chance of that starting before the 6.00pm kerfew (or whoever you spell it) shouldn't imagine they'll be a refund either!!!

Jase,

Just don't let suckered into starting the race at ten to six for a 'shortened' race.

The drivers should stick together and tell them to give you a double header later on in the season. They did it for the post 86 class in '02.

If you start a 10 minute race and someone chucks it off before the 75% distance, they won't red flag it straight away, they will just get the safety car out and make you cruise round until the 75% distance is reached then red flag it.

Bingo! Youv'e paid your race fee for potentially a 1 lap race followed by 6 laps of safety car. If you get my drift.

We have not been circuit racing as long as the Jminsh clan for sure, but we have had too many instances already where the 'service providers' are telling the customers what they are getting, like it or lump it.
You sometimes get the feeling that the paying customer (drivers) are mere incidental fodder for the 'providers' to wield there authority on. It's like trying to win an argument with local council officers. Non elected, non accountable.

Sorry if I have upset anyone with my rant. (actuially I'm not, I was just being a bit PC there!)
