Portland Testing Photos on line
Our webmaster Jim DeFord has put up a gallery of photos he took at the Portland Testing recently -- and I anticipate more to come, knowing Jim!
Have a look over at www.rfmsports.com |

A great collection of photos. Thanks for the link.
I like the picture of Justin Wilson (mainly because he is using some kerb). Has he changed his helmet for this year? |

I don't know why, I just didn't remember that green bit! Cheers
Right back to 1993: http://www.justinwilson.co.uk/index_.../Karting/gid/9 although to older pics show different helmets. I like the pic that has Malkin and Manning on as well! Last edited by Adam43; 23 Apr 2004 at 17:14. |

Really high quality images! I'm currently shopping for a good digital camera, and Jim's images are encouraging me to step into the digital realm after many years of me being a "film" guy. I don't know that I can afford the pro equipment that he states he used, but I hope whatever I get is good enough to make a start in the direction of his excellent work.

IMO, it best to get the camera you want first, and then work on your lens collection. Do not "settle" for a lesser camera only to have to upgrade at a later date. In the long run it pays to buy the right equipment right off the bat and with the lenses, you'll know they'll work for many, many years to come. Digital SLRs are the only way to go. Point and shooters aren't even close to being fast enough. -Jim |

Jim-
Currently eyeing the Minolta A2 prosumer with a 28-200 mm (in 35mm terms) zoom. With anti-shake, its good for several stops into the normally forbidden shutter speed zone- like 1/30 or 1/15 handheld. I like your idea of buy once, buy right, but the digital SLR and the necessary lenses to go with it are just too expensive for me at the present. Am I crazy or on the right track? |
