Reverse psychology- Bernie's hoping people will watch to see if MS can win all 18 races rather than watching to see if he can't.
Positivity can be a powerful thing. |

Would be all the more impressive- 18 rounds is longer than any other WDC AFAIR...

Well, indeed, I can sense some desperation and panic, and just panic.

Well when Tiger Woods won everything in Golf in 00/01, more and more people watched. I guess he is trying to get the interest in a similar way.

On the basis that the individual race odds each time are going to be 2-1 on ish (ie getting ÂŁ1.50 back for a ÂŁ1 stake (including getting your stake back)) the odds on winning the next 13 straight are actually pretty high: I make it nearly ÂŁ1000 back from an initial ÂŁ5 if you stake all your winnings on the next race each time, accumulator style. Think that's right anyway.

as a Michael Schumacher fan, i refuse to buy into any of this ****. all 18 is simply not possible.
my take is that MS is being set up so that when (and not if) he does eventually lose this year, most of the fans who don't support MS will have something to cheer about. and attempt as they always have, to rub it in. just remember that you heard it from fog_shadow first shadow |

It is easy to forget that six (soon to be seven) WDCs and four (soon to be five) in a row is a virtual impossibility in itself. I agree, all 18 races just will not happen.

All jokes aside i think he could win all 18 in fact when you look at the form it looks so easy. Just to prove how easy it is for the ferrari team how many cars has michael passed for position on the track (not during pit stops) this season??

hmm..
1)Bernie won't lose anything. 2)What makes you believe that a couple of dollars lost will drive Bernie away? 3)Be very much afraid when Bernie eventually retires. (this time will come; he's old you know?) Then the "suits and ties" will take over and THEN you start to seriously worry. |

Bernie didn't lose anything! He (and the teams too) did earn some 5% less than his yearly income, that's true, but he didn't "lose" a cent! Last edited by Red; 13 May 2004 at 15:01. |

Which he remains FIRMLY on. He probably doesn't even notice when he loses the odd million. I feel Red has a point with numbers 2 and 3!

I think TGF will definitely give 'Brazil-Interlagos' (is it the last GP of the season?) to Rubinho.
J. Pablo M. probably will win one somewhere along the way. |

Again one example, that Bernie has long time ago lost his touch to a common race fan. Get down from your ivory tower, Bernie, and smell the rotting remains of Formula 1.
