Which CART drivers would be the best additions to the IRL?
Whatever you amy think of ti, CART does have quite a strong field this year. bruno's 500 showed that he can run at this level, and Fernandez did well despite only finishing 7th (I think) in CART last year. So which drivers (no more than 3) would you most like to see switching over for 2005, assuming that the 2 series remain seperate?

Both the IRL and Champ Car have strong fields. I would like to see them all thrown together and have a truly great racing series. |

The ideal would be a combined series, true, but it looks like there's no guarantee of this yet. The flow of talent has been from CART to IRL in recent years, adn I ssuect this would continue into 2005. Junquiera, Allmendinger and Bourdais might be the best additions. I would've said Ryan, but it seems like F1 is his dream.

I would put money on the fact that F1 is the dream of Bruno, AJ and Bourdais as well. Not to mention a number of current IRL drivers. The IRL and Champ Car are always going to be second choice for a lot of top-flight drivers.

My votes to AJ, RHR, and Wilson: the first two cos they're stars abd stripes, the third cos he comes from F1.

All of them have the level. I'm just frustrated that I'm the only one thinking Oriol has the level...

Oriol's a good driver, but he's just a LITTLE bit away from being outstanding.
Very consistent though - won the Indy Lights title without any race wins. |

All are top notch drivers and would be an asset to the IRL. I don't think the IRL has better and I don't think it has worse. I'd put Servia in the second tier. Tag, Jourdain and Vasser deserve to be on the list too. Haberfeld is a maybe because it's difficult to judge how good he has become due to his inferrior car.
