Tyre stockists

Where does everyone buy their tyres from?

I'm after 190/580R15 slick for hillclimb/sprint use.

Avon are too expensive; Yokohama have none in the country; Pirelli stockist says that they can't get any.

So just where do all these race tyres come from? Thin air?

I'm afraid Thin Air (aka RG Racewear) only do racesuits etc not tyres.

have you tried HP Tyres 01327 857000 they stock all the historic race tyres and are normally at Silverstone meetings and testdays (they are based next door)

Thanks Simon
I've phoned EARS and I've now ordered a set of moulded slicks (Michelins) for delivery tomorrow. They're as close as I can get in the time remaining.

If you have any mates at Bedford Autodrome or any race schools they might be able to get you tyres cheap. They buy by the hundreds so they get a real good rate
