Cool, Honda have three different models built to S2000 spec all at the same time!
It says there that the Toyota Altezza is also running to S2000 spec.Is it on the pace? bf1 |

I thought S2000 had to be a 4dr sedan except under FIA exemption. The only 2 makes that have exceptions right now is the Honda Civic and Peugeot 205(??). OTOH, I guess the ATCS has granted a special waiver for the Integra?

I’m sorry to say that the 4 door requirement has been removed.
In appendix J, article 263 (Specific Regulations for Modified Production Cars on Circuits (Super-2000)) you can read this: "ARTICLE 1 : DEFINITION Large-scale series production touring cars modified by a kit. The engine used must be derived from the homologated model modified by the kit." "ARTICLE 2 : HOMOLOGATION At least 2500 fully identical units must have been produced in 12 consecutive months and homologated by the FIA in Production Cars (Group N)." "ARTICLE 3 : NUMBER OF SEATS Cars must have at least four places, in accordance with the dimensions defined for Touring Cars (Group A)." But to be totally fair the new Honda Integra Type-R DC5 has not been homologated so it’s not technically a S2000 spec car. |

As for the Altezza is it fully homologated?
As that put me thinking of the Lexus that was in the BTCC in 01 -> that was an Altezza rebadged as a Lexus IS200...but built to BTC-T spec |

I hope there will be a Japanese S2000 series soon, since Honda and Toyota already have eligible cars. Japan have no touring car series as we speak.
