on the topic of the SAFER barrier

Has anyone heard anything about when Milwaukee and Motegi might get off their behinds to get the SAFER barrier installed? It's not like it's a coincidence the only two injuries of the season have happened at those two tracks...

True.

I wouldn't see the SAFER barrier as a panacea but it clearly makes a difference.

Furthermore, it's great that the only "injuries" this year have been largely insignificant, compared with last year's horror stories.

Indeed. I must admit I'm surprised how relatively injury-free this season has been so far, especially after Indy where there were some really hard hits during practice and qualifying. Could it be that the modified side-pods have been a small, but seemingly important, factor as well?

Not that I'm complaining though - I think it's absolutely fantastic how much safer this year has been

Absolutely.

Fingers crossed we get through the rest of the season similarly unscathed.
