Friday practice, Hungaroring
Schumacher quickest in session one, ahead of Barrichello.
Expect McLaren to do better in session two, though - Kimi was -0.5 before running wide at turn nine and only going fourth quickest. |

Davidson only driver to be in the 1.21 bracket with the Ferraris and he did the most laps 23. (9 lap run and 2x 6 lap runs) Ferrari ran shorter runs. When is AD going to get full recognition for his efforts!?
All ADs fan mail & requests for autographs are from Germany, Austria and the former Soviet block countries...could it be because they get Friday practice on TV where we in the UK (without Astra) dont get to see or even read about Fridays in MotorSport News etc. Autosport do however publish the basic stats. |

Davidson's speed seems to have surprised BAR too!...their own web-site story refers to AD as being 1.4 seconds off MS!...I make it 4 tenths! Ho Hum!
Whatever the tracks really slow and green...next session should see the times tumble...but to which tyre makers advantage?... |

Luckily the people who would empoly him are all at the track and see hime. Although, I guess, potential sponsors might not be and general awareness does help here. |

Hasn't it usually been the case that Bridgestone have a big advantage in the early morning sessions (hope, hope, hope!)?
What about the forecasts for rain? |

And it isn't.
Ok, 0.023s isn't really that big of a gap, but looks like the "normal" nose Williams actually has some speed. But you're right, a Willy is faster than "a" Ferrari. PS: But Pizzi faster than Montoya!? Hmm.. Last edited by Red; 13 Aug 2004 at 12:35. |

Indeed.
This is a track where we may see Schumacher do a relatively low-fuel qualifying and build a lead quickly early on. It's the worst place (bar Monaco) to be stuck in the pack. |
