Euro Saloons - 29th August

Hello, is there anywhere we can see entries for the Euro Saloons race at Snetterton on 29th August? Have checked out the website but is nothing specific.

Many thanks

BRSCC entries are hard to get hold of these days, but try finding the contact details for the co-ordinator via www.brscc.co.uk.

I spoke to the BRSCC today, entries will be out today, so I reckon we should see them Fri or early next week.

We are there with both Nissans and a new entry a Vectra V6

I used to race a V6 Vectra back in late 1990's under Team CSF. used to get beaten by screaming 2.0 16v 4 pots everytime. These were only just above standard trim (cams) though.

What is contact like in this sport? as I read a warning on the Le Mans website regarding clamping down on persistent offenders? Is no fun taking a bent car home.

I have sent my form in but not paid as I am awaiting a radiator to arrive by today or I am stuffed. We caused a little damage at Snett last time out....am also waiting for a set of wheel bearings to arrive......fingers x'd.

Does anybody please have 2 spare tickets for this weekend at Snett. Have asked the BRSCC who are being particularly evasive. Never have this problem with the BARC !!!

MSV allow four tickets per driver, so you won't get any more out of the club.

Sure, but I am just kind of hoping there is a small surplus in supply. Pretty mean of them, we used to get 5 and certainly have no issue with the BARC when asking for a few more. After all we are paying to entertain the paying masses so I think team members should be given ticket access.

Heaven forbid inviting sponsors !!!!

How long before we have to pay on the gate to get in as well as pay an expensive entry fee to put on entertainment for the punters. After all, it is entertainment for the spectators isn't it?

Cynically as usual.

Rob.

1st time out with the Euro Saloons last weekend and must say I enjoyed the racing. Though did have to contend with a broken n/s/f shock absorber from lap 2 onwards which meant I was locking the o/s/r into every corner and a loss of gears in the final stages which lead to me giving 3rd and 4th away. Good fun though nevertheless.

Good race I thought. We found the front n/s shocker had compressed and stayed there leaving the front riding very low in that corner lifting the o/s rear...hence the locking of the wheel. The car was an absolute pig to drive as I'm sure you could see, I was only just in control...and mean just. There was one moment through Coram I was looking at the most likely place to have an impact. In fact the car was so horrible to drive I was convinced an accident was imminent with perhaps the loss of a wheel or something. The final straw was when the box wouldn't shift down leaving me crawling out of Russell in 6th gear.

As I said good race, but very exhausting....to the next round.

hawkenr,

How is the progress on the car ?, do you think you will be at Mallory?.

With regard to Oct 2nd, both our drivers are keen but where do we get the info from, have tried the name on the BARC website to no avail.
