Spike TV to cover....
I just found this:
http://www.spiketv.com/shows/series/...seriesID=13505  Note: Symptomatically, Laguna Seca was the second time in a row that a Champ Car race was not included in the Spike TV listings for my cable provider (Adelphia) here in Oak Park (Greater Los Angeles). Instead of the race at Laguna Seca a re-run of the "outstanding" Spike TV show "Trucks!" was scheduled... The race was broadcast, but this is quite strange. I called a friends living in LA whose cable TV feed is provided by another companies (Charter Communications) and they had the same "issue" - no Champ Car race in the Spike TV line-up for the day, but the race was shown. Conspiracy theories apart, this is puzzling. Muzza |

I don't now if it happened in N.A but over here on Motors at first we had Jeremy Shaw and the Toyota Atlantic champion comentating then we went back to the userals Tommy Kendall and co.
A bit unusual prehaps? Last edited by luke; 13 Sep 2004 at 17:22. |

Jeremy Shaw and Jon Fogarty provide the "international" commentary feed.
Rick Benjamin and Tommy Kendall do the US commentary. Motors tends to favour taking the US feed, but had a tecnhical problem last night, so started with one and switched. Nothing sinister, luke! |

The races on Spike are always blacked out in Canada, so we can't be of much help.

I have found the same thing here on Comcast - the listing for the day does not include the race. I find out later that it was on and unfortunately, they do not seem to rebroadcast which is something Speed did that I liked. If you missed the race or are not VCR-friendly (me), then you can catch the race later on.
Having an active boy who does soccer, etc on the weekends makes it tough to catch the races on TV! Note to self: must learn to program VCR properly! |

I have Dish Network, and both the race and the listings were broadcasted.
I can't think of why cable should be any different. Talk about playing by different rules. That sucks royal for you cable guys. But the important thing is that the race is being shown. At least with Spike you know exactly know what time the races will be shown each time. |

Hey, all I can say is that on e1996 Bathurst Rookie Of The Year, is better than no Bathurst Rookie Of The Year.
