Kirk has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Massa Beats Schumacher . . . Twice in One Day

I am sure Massa's performance at the Race of Champions caught Ferrari's attention. Me thinks, Massa's chances of driving a Ferrari one day are alive, despite the recent tyre conflicts that brought Gene in and Massa out as Ferrari's testers. BTW, speed channel is televising the event on Dec 12, 20:00 Eastern time.

err... sorry to spoil your theory, but if Massa ever gets a Ferrari drive, it will have nothing to do with his race of champions performance.
I expect Ferrari are more likely to be impressed with him outperforming his teammate in F1 (somthing he has yet to do regularly)

Perhaps so, but it doesn't hurt his chances either.

Err...Performance in a Modena and a WRC car is highly unlikely to affect any decision Ferrari have for Formula One....i doubt it even register an ounce worth of comparison

He stated before the event how much he was looking forward to taking on Michael and he acquitted himself quite well. After all, how many F1 "youngsters" ever get to race the WDC in equal machinery? I think it is his competitiveness that he showed against Schumi that will be noted and logged. That's all.

Going by that yardstick, Heikki Kovalainen should get a drive over both Massa and Michael Schumacher!

I still don't rate Massa that highly - let's see what he manages in the forthcoming season though... If he beats his team-mate by 50% or so I'll be impressed, but if he only just shades it, or if Jacques beats him I'm afraid my opinion will remain unaltered.

Least it shows if Ferrari do have a driver out for a long time, then Massa can step in and be competitive.

I was wondering if I'd get to see it over here, thanks for the heads up, Kirk.

I'm sure Ferrari are keeping their eye on Felipe, but since they are who they are, they can offer a seat to the very best, and it will likely be taken. All Mr. Massa can do is be as quick and consistent as possible. If he can put the Sauber in places it's not supposed to be, performance wise, his chances will improve.

However, IMHO, he will not get a Ferrari drive. There are just too many better options, driver wise.

Perhaps PM and TGF should go head to head with scalextric cars, then we will know who is best.(identical cars of course).

I guess this kinda performance will not impress that much, considering the context.

Somehow there's an option on his services (long term one) plus his manager happens to be Todt's son
