F1, "Real Men" and the F1 Cover up of all Time.

In this modern day open world of ours with Homophobia being politically a big No No.
Why the big cover up over a Gay F1 driver. You may not care to believe it, but this is TRUE! Many of the lady supporters will be very upset if they let the truth out.
With F1 for ever chasing money and with the spending power of the gay community you would have thought they would have broadcast the fact!
Who is the gay fellow I hear you ask. Well he drives with one of the better teams he is not British has had some er trouble in F1 in the past after changing teams and his family shall we say has some clout in F1.
He has girls put around him as a cover and holidays in a large mixed close group to cover up who he really spends his nights with.
Dismiss this if you like! But why would they hide the truth?

Well, Cat chap, you didn't hear me asking who it might be. I haven't the faintest idea, nor do I have the faintest interest.

If there's a concerted coverup, them I am a little disappointed that the powers that be feel F1 was less bankable were it to be known. I thought we were further advanced as a society.

Should he be in F1? - of course he should. He's obviously quick enough for a team to want him to represent them. The man behind one of the greatest racing marques in GP history was gay - in a time when it was a lot more dangerous to be so. Should his cars be expunged from GP history? I think not.

Here's to the impending new racing season - when we will hopefully be squabbling about important things like Ferrari wings and McLaren strategies...

As an 'F1 girlie' I wouldn't really care if the driver
swings one way or the other, or maybe even both...
if it affects a girls.. er dreams..that's there problem
and come off.. it being as fit as an f1 driver never mind
the money I'm sure there's plenty of temping offers for

The rumor has been going around for ages, and I can think of three likely candidates though only one drives for a "better" team.

I do think Catchap has raised a rather valid point; the issue isn't "Who? and can we have the purient details?" but rather should be "Why not, and aren't we mature enough to accept it?" The fact is that homosexuality is common enough that we should all be beyond being shocked by it. Statiscally, it is very likely that at least one driver each season might be gay. However, whomever he may be if in fact there is truth to this rumor-its none of our business.

I'm talking about a cover up on this particular issue, not all cover ups that have ever taken place.

I don't care if he's gay or if he isn't, and I think it's not my business to comment unless he chooses to make it known in a public forum, when I would then take the position that as long as it doesn't interfere with his racing, why, so what?

I don't see the point in speculating unless you want a date, and since no one in Formula One is going to go out with me anyway, personally it matters not.

The whole idea that every athlete must be a tom cat with dozens of illegitimate children needs to be retired anyway.

Do you really believe that this sort of thing is good for the sport followed by "Millions".
I think that some maybe worried that if they let this one out of the bag and certain people get upset, other truths about F1 may raise their heads!

According to a gay lady F1 photographer friend (she worked freelance, but had a contract with Marlboro at the time), she spent a lot of after-race time with a certain top driver, as she felt that she didn't have to worry about his making a pass at her. He story was backed up by her girlfriend of the time.

The driver ? Senna!

Whether really true or not, WHO CARES ?!!
