Hunter Reay and B&S
Just wondering what the go is with Ryan Hunter reay's Briggs and Stratton sponsorship ?
I was quite confused for a bit watching the Toronto race because Ryan was in a yellow car (Not sure if he had B&S or DHL on the car though) but has something changed there ? have B&S pulled out and Rocketsports have decided to go with full DHL colours ? or was it just for Toronto for some reason ? |

Cytomax is on board now. I have no idea what happened with B&S.

Ryan Hunter-Reay not only switched sponsors from Briggs & Stratton to Cytomax, but he also switched cars. He is now driving Timo Glock's spare Lola chassis. I read on one of those 'commoner' forums that this was purely because Hunter-Reay's old chassis had lost its integrity from being rebuilt and repatched so many times.
If so, that's the second time (that I know of) that a current Lola chassis has had to be retired because of wear. |

this artical says where tags cars came from. i remember a quote saying rocketsports bought a tub from Rahal with prior damage from wrecks and were not told upfront that there was a problem
http://www.champcarworldseries.com/N...le.asp?ID=5483 However, there was no rest for the weary. Upon returning to Lansing, the Rocketsports crew toke delivery of its two additional Lolas and began preparing for the season opener at St. Petersburg. Like the first Lola, the additions were “previously- owned” cars rather than brand new. “The first one was a Rahal car, the other two are Mo Nunn cars,” explained Howard at Sebring. “It was the easiest way to get cars as soon as we could, especially the Rahal car. It came with a Ford installation so it was more or less ready to go, so that helps. The others have to be converted to accept the Ford.” [MOD]Welcome to the forum, but don't use name calling like that in the future. Thank you.[MOD] Last edited by Down F0rce; 14 Jul 2005 at 20:57. |
