Walshy should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Formula Ford 2000

Take a look at this Reynard Formula Ford 2000.

http://www.racecarsdirect.com/cars/d...id=22852&cat=0

Forgive my ignorance, but what engine is in this? I thought they used a modified Kent engine, but the INLET and EXHAUST Manifolds are the wrong way around..

It looks a lot like a Kent. Is it the Pinto??????

Cheers anyone.

Like John says.

If your thinking about buying it be aware that it isnt eligible for URS FF2000 because thats pre82. It would be eligible for Monoposto but it would be outclassed in 2000 class. I think its ok for F4 but it would be outclassed overall I dont know if there is a class that would be good for it

Think laterally!

There are several 2.0 Pinto engined cars running in Sprints and Hillclimbs.

Terry Holmes and Graham Porrett have a 1984 Reynard in which they originally ran a 2.0 Pinto. The car now sports a 2.0 Cosworth engine minus turbo.

Pies????????

There are only certain Pies I like....

How would I know mate. I have never had any dealings with the Pinto engine.

It just seemed strange as to why the Manifolds are different to say it's the same block effectively.

There is obviously a straight forward explanation for it, but I dare say your not going to give it to me are you.....

Luv U 2 huns!!!!!

Wrong...only the bolt spacing for the gearbox and the engine mounts are the same... It does look to be in nice condition..my FF1600 started life as a 2000 car it must have looked like this once, meanwhile I'm stuck with the wrong final drive and odd gear ratios

Pinto engined FF2000 cars run in the Monoposto 1800 Class rather than the 2 litre class. Geoff Pashley is competitive in an RF82.
