Penske has always been good at the short track, I would like to see another Penske victory at Michigan this weekend.

You're not implying Michigan as a "short track", are you?
'Cause it ain't!
Wish I was there. I really miss that grand old place.

Of course not. I was saying I want another Penske victory at Michigan this weekend not that I though at another short track again as Michigan clearly isn't.

Just been checking qualifying on Live Timing & Scoring - I guess Ganassi's axing of Manning has had something of a positive effect on the thus far lethargic Scott Dixon!!!

Look at who's in each position I get the impression that we shouldn't read too much into the qualifying. Granted they're very close together. On a track like MI, I imagine guys like Kannan, Weldon, Hornish are setup for the race.

Michigan is a premium placve to draft....Handling in traffic and being stable in the draft are keys to going to the front there....

Expect Hornish, Helio and Wheldon to move up....

This could have been REAL bad. Townsend Bell lost it and as Jaques Lazier checked up he got hit from behind by Matsuura, sending him sideways hard into the spinning Bell. Lazier even caught some air from the impact.

That was a big one.

my goodness. the fact the ganassi car got hit beforehand could have been a blessing in disguise as i think he would have collected bell in the same way tagliani collected zanardi all those years ago...

Yeah, I was thinking about that too... but then again, Lazier was slowing down, so even if he had been unable to avoid Bell the impact wouldn't have been anywhere near that of the Zanardi/Tagliani one (which happened at absolutely full speed).

Anyhow, thank goodness everyone involved seem ok.

My bad - the wreck earlier involved four, not three, cars. Roger Yasukawa was the fourth one involved (checking the replays from the wreck at the moment).
