Roundy Mooney should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
ERC Entry Fee

Was just looking at the entry form for the ERC in Holland. Is €150.00
(£104.00) the norm for the entry fee for a round of the ERC. I would have expected to far more expensive for such a high profile event.

And providing you get in a final ie the top 16 cars you get at least 300 Euros back. Maybe the organisers/circuits realise that without the competitors there would not be an event ! Most Dutch/Belguim events dont even have an entry fee.

Stop hiring tracks and race at single venues i sure we can design a track at some of these old airfield venues ?

Even Croft ,Anglesy,Blyton were old airfeilds that were converted to race tracks so why not use cheper venues?

But you also need the places like Croft Brands and Lydden . Some of the tracks in the past such as Long Marston and Deepcut would hardly do much for the prestige of Rallycross.
A shame the circuits are so greedy and forget who puts on the show and lays out their own money. The competitors.

agree totally about using single venues rather than proper race tracks. By the way who says blyton has been converted to a race track ???? still looks a lot like an old dissused airfield but hey my entry is in the post for sept RSS meeting there love racing there .

If we had the option to pay maybe £100 entry or we can pay £250 to race at brands etc think i would opt for the £100. yes it is very nice to race at brands and circuits of similar quality for sponsorship purposes etc but at the end of the day we all race on tight budgets and we can have the same ammount of fun factor at a dissused airfield (well maybe with better toilets) as standing in the pitlane at brands

I totally agree Michael, think this is the way forward for rallycross over here. If not for the major championships then definately for the lower end of the market and for people running to a tight budget.
Imagine the entries you would get in stock hatch and the like for a 100 quid entry fee or perhaps cheaper
Think maybe the RSS should focus in this area and build support for thier series that way instead of going up against the MSA.
Offered a genuine and realistic alternative the RSS might be able to attract new drivers aswell as offer other drivers an alternative.
