FIM Winners Game --> Valencia (Last round!)

Last round of Autumn Cup! Next round we will begin the... Winter Cup! (Oh, there are not races in winter, what a pity)

As in Summer Cup, in this last round we have a special rule: "players can OPTIONALLY put their guesses via PM to marcus (thanks!) instead of this thread". When the race is going to start (or when he can) marcus will put here the guesses he had received.

Practically everybody is candidate for titles and or podiums so this is going to be potentially very interesting!

I will repeat here the prizes in every category:
First position: $3000
Second position: $2000
Third position: $1000
(Note: $ = 1 galactic credit)

Rules are:

----------------------------------------------

Object of the game:
You have to guess the winner. You can put one, two, three or four riders as winners.

Scoring:
If you put one rider and he wins, you get 4 points.
If you put two two riders and one of them wins, you get 3 points.
In case you put 3 names and one wins, you get 2.5 points.
If you choose to put four names, and one of them wins, you get 2 points.
If you fail to guess the winner, you get 0 points.

Time limit:
Guesses can be done until one hour before the first race (125, 250 or MotoGP, whatever it is). Usually it will be one hour before 125 race.

Remarks:
Every FIM GP three guesses can be entered: for 125cc, 250cc and MotoGP. Those are three differents games, so you can enter only one or two categories if you like.

Appart from the three classifications (125, 250 and MotoGP), I'll put a "global" classification adding all of them.

The key of the game is to predict the winner putting the least possible numbers of candidates. But if you put too few riders, you risk getting 0 points!

Example:

Let's suppose in Jerez you had put these guesses:
125 = Simoncelli, P.Nieto, Lai (you get 2.5 points for Simoncelli)
250 = Porto, Dovizioso (you get 0 point, you failed)
MotoGP = Gibernau, Rossi (you get 3 points for Rossi)

Good fun for everybody!

Just to be different -

125cc - Luthi (he will want to take the championship with a win)
250cc - Stoner (he will want to beat Pedrosa on his home track)
MotoGP - Rossi (he will want to equal Doohan's season win record)

I sent PM to marcus.

For 125s, I continue one trend that has been throughout my season and has been quite succesful.

I just wrote my guess to marcus.

However, BOTTY has chosen to put its guess here and not by PM:

BOTTY:
125cc: Luthi, Gadea(!)
250cc: Pedrosa
MotoGP: Rossi, Gibernau

Somewhat risky, isn't it?

Last round and great perfomances from some players... and pretty lame for others (like me ).

SALEEN was just brilliant. The new boy ScuderiaV8 was powerful as well, I hope he can come back next season. beau1 did a very good last race and Blue did his usual precise guess.

On the other side bestfit didn't gain any point, marcus was probably even worse because he put 6 riders at no avail Bad day really, but Hazza and me did not a lot better, losing the chances for better final results.

Hey, I didn'y say anything about Dani, who was the perfect middle point between the winners and the losers of this GP
Code:
Valencia:
125cc:
Beau1 3
SALEEN 3
ScuderiaV8 3
Bleu 2.5
Schummy 2
Hazza 2

250cc:
BOTTY 4
SALEEN 4
ScuderiaV8 4
Beau1 3
Dani F 3
Hazza 2.5
Bleu 2.5
Schummy 2

MotoGP:
SALEEN 4
ScuderiaV8 3
Bleu 3
Dani F 3
Beau1 2.5

TOTAL:
SALEEN 11
ScuderiaV8 10
beau1 8.5
Bleu 8
Dani F 6
Hazza 4.5
BOTTY 4
Schummy 4
bestfit 0
marcus 0

Final podiuyms for the Autumn Cup are:
Code:
PODIUMS:
+------+--------+--------+--------+-------+
| |125 |250 |MotoGP |Total |
+------+--------+--------+--------+-------+
|Gold |Bleu |Schummy |Bleu |Bleu |
+------+--------+--------+--------+-------+
| | |SALEEN |SALEEN | |
|Silver|SALEEN |Hazza |Dani F |Schummy|
| | | |Schummy | |
+------+--------+--------+--------+-------+
|Bronze|Schummy | | |SALEEN |
+------+--------+--------+--------+-------+

(BOTTY is out of contest, it had got a bronze)

Absolutely brilliant championship for Blue who showed again that he is sinply the best (even if he didn't play all rounds!). I didn't make a bad Cup at all, getting 4 medals!

SALEEN, with his formidable last round, got a well deserved set of 4 medals, although he goes on looking for a title! Hazza and Dani got a silver each, probably they deserved more but life is not necessarily fair!

The complete tables are:
Code:
CHAMPIONSHIP:
125cc:
1.Bleu 13.5
2.SALEEN 12.5
3.Schummy 12
  Hazza 11.5
  BOTTY 9.5
  marcus 9
  beau1 6
  Dani F 5.5
  bestfit 4
  ScuderiaV8 3

250cc:
1.Schummy 16
2.SALEEN 14.5
2.Hazza 14.5
  Dani F 14
  BOTTY 13
  Bleu 13
  beau1 9
  marcus 9
  ScuderiaV8 4
  bestfit 4

MotoGP:
1.Bleu 17
2.SALEEN 15
2.Dani F 15
2.BOTTY 15
2.Schummy 15
  Hazza 12
  marcus 12
  beau1 11
  bestfit 4
  ScuderiaV8 3

Total:
1.Bleu 43.5
2.Schummy 43
3.SALEEN 42
  BOTTY 37.5
  Dani F 34.5
  Hazza 33
  marcus 30
  beau1 26
  bestfit 17.5
  ScuderiaV8 10

Finally, joining the two Cups together to make a Medal Table as in Olimpiads we have a picture of how things went along the season.

Medal Table: Two Cups
Code:
        Gold Silver Bronze Total
Bleu 6 0 0 6
Schummy 1 3 2 6
Dani F 1 3 0 4
SALEEN 0 4 4 8
Hazza 0 1 0 1

Bleu got 6 golds out of 8 titles! Wow!
SALEEN got medals in everyone of the 8 competitions! Bravo!
My heart goes with marcus who risked almost every round and he ended with empty hands (How can I soft soap moderator even more?)

I'm going to miss this competition (where is the icon with tears? ). Thanks to everybody for the collective enjoyment! Those damn people in Dorna don't want races in winter

At least we will remain in touch in the forum so brilliantly leaded by the three superhuman moderators (lol, more soft soap).
