Al Unser has successful surgery

The IndyStar reports:

Quote:
Tumor removed from Unser

Four-time Indianapolis 500 winner Al Unser was resting and expected to make a full recovery after doctors in Denver removed a tumor from his liver Wednesday.

Unser was hospitalized in his hometown of Albuquerque, N.M., last month for treatment of pancreatitis and gallstones, but the liver operation became necessary after a biopsy disclosed the tumor.
Good thing the doctors found the tumor early, and here's wishing him a speedy recovery!

Best wishes to Al in what will surely be a difficult time. The Unser family doesn't seem to have much luck medically.

That is Al Senior...the four-time winner, not Little Al....the two-time winner...

I know...you almost need a scorecard to keep track of the Unsers...

That's OK....
